Job Title: Certified ASL Interpreter – Federal Onsite Assignments (Onsite in Denver, CO)

Locations: Denver, CO 80225

Language on Demand, Inc. is a government contracting agency located in Annadale, Virginia, that offers a full range of language services including sign language interpretation, language translation, spoken language interpretation, Captioning in Real Time (CART), language education, and more. LOD has provided over 56K hours of ASL interpreting nationally and strives to work with top-tier Nationally Certified ASL interpreters.

Description:

Language On Demand, Inc., a GSA-approved, ISO 9001:2015 certified federal contractor, is seeking qualified American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to support National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) federal contract providing Deaf and Hard of Hearing communication access services.

Interpreters will provide professional on-site ASL interpretation for federal meetings, trainings, and technical discussions, ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate communication between Deaf and hearing participants.

Responsibilities:

• Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpreting in professional settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Arrive on time and remain for the full duration of assigned events.
• Collaborate with team interpreters for long sessions.
• Submit accurate time and service reports after each assignment.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience interpreting in STEM or technical environments (science, engineering, or IT).
• Prior federal government or large-scale conference interpreting experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• RID/NAD certification strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years professional interpreting experience
• Ability to work in federal government settings and comply with USDA confidentiality requirements
• Experience in technical, legal, or medical settings is a plus
• Ability to commute to On-Site locations throughout Little Rock, AR 72201
• Strong voicing skills while working with diverse clients
• Possess current certification as recognized by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and/or the National Association for the Deaf (NAD)

Certification:

• RID or NAD Level IV–V certification preferred.
• State license (if applicable) or proof of qualification in respective state.
