We are currently seeking a SAP Basis Administrator to join our team in Guadalajara, Jalisco (MX-JAL), Mexico (MX).

SAP Basis Administrator

Job Overview:

An SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining complex SAP landscapes, ensuring system performance, security, and availability through tasks like system upgrades, database management, user administration, and troubleshooting critical issues. This role requires solid knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, various operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), and databases (Oracle, SQL), along with expertise in backups, disaster recovery, and security protocols. Collaboration with other IT teams, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities are also essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Design & Implementation: Design, install, and configure complex SAP landscapes, ensuring they meet technical and business requirements.
• System Management & Maintenance: Perform ongoing maintenance, system upgrades, patch management, and manage system performance and resource optimization.
• Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Monitor SAP systems for performance bottlenecks, proactively identify issues, and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal performance.
• Database Administration: Manage and maintain various database environments, including SAP HANA, Oracle, DB2, and MSSQL.
• User & Security Management: Administer user access, maintain roles, and implement security best practices and policies.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Develop, implement, and manage robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support, troubleshoot and resolve system errors and incidents, and lead efforts in technical problem-solving.
• Documentation & Technical Writing: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems, procedures, and configurations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants and other IT teams, to ensure seamless integration and support of SAP systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and architecture .
• SAP Technologies: Proven expertise in SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, ECC6, S/4HANA, Solution Manager, and other relevant SAP technologies.
• Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows operating environments.
• Databases: Experience with administration of various databases, such as Oracle, HANA, DB2, and SQL.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with SAP RISE/HEC and public cloud environments is a plus.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.

• Working knowledge of all the IT functions.
• Certifications: Relevant SAP certifications are considered a significant advantage.

• Effective time management and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
