Job: Pharmacy Technician
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - 1st ShiftThe Pharmacy Technician plays a key role in supporting daily pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include retrieving medications from stock, accurately counting and packaging orders for pharmacist review, maintaining workstations and inventory levels, removing expired products, and ensuring adequate supplies of pre-packaged items. The role may also involve occasional patient outreach for customer service calls or order inquiries.
Primary Responsibilities:
Process and fill prescription orders in preparation for pharmacist verification
Pack and ship completed prescription orders to patients as needed
Maintain inventory levels and automated dispensing units
Replenish workstation supplies, including vials, caps, labels, and related materials
Work efficiently within multiple computer systems to provide medication information and respond to inquiries
Support high-volume, fast-paced operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of critical medications
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Active New Jersey Pharmacy Technician License
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks
Preferred Qualifications:
Pharmacy or prescription data entry experience
National Pharmacy Technician Certification
Previous mail-order pharmacy experience
Competency in basic math, including measurements, fractions, and decimals
Strong computer and organizational skills with the ability to meet production and quality goals
