Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Travel Position Location: Warwick, RI Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s Nights Pay: $2,926/week Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Warwick, RI. The L&D Nurse will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting patients and families during labor and delivery in a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapies, epidural assistance, and induction agents.
• Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding labor progress, procedures, and newborn care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe and effective care.
• Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Rhode Island (or compact license).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure obstetric situations.
