We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Commercial HVAC Installers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial HVAC systems, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities: - Install commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, chillers, boilers, ductwork, refrigerant piping, and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job scopes to ensure proper installation.
- Measure and lay out installation points, assemble HVAC equipment, and install using hand and power tools.
- Connect systems to water lines, air ducts, fuel lines, and electrical power sources.
- Perform basic start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure quality and timely project completion.
- Ensure all work is performed to code and in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of installation and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience installing commercial HVAC systems.
- EPA Section 608 certification (Type I and II or Universal) required.
- Knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient with tools and equipment related to HVAC installation.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions and confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications: - OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Familiarity with LEED and energy-efficient installation practices.
- Journeyman or Master HVAC License (if required by state/local jurisdiction).
