Job Description

We are looking for a Civil Engineer / Project Manager with 8–10 years of experience to join our Urban Development team in Dallas, Texas. This position plays a pivotal leadership role in the delivery of civil engineering projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and beyond. As a key member of our team, you’ll be responsible for managing projects, mentoring junior staff, collaborating with clients, and supporting business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Design

  • Lead civil engineering projects from concept through construction documentation.

  • Prepare preliminary engineering reports, site layouts, and construction drawings.

  • Research jurisdictional requirements and ensure compliance with local and regional standards.

  • Oversee development of design documents using AutoCAD , Civil 3D , and MicroStation .

  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple concurrent projects.

  • Conduct site visits and document findings to inform design and construction decisions.

Team & Client Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients—ensuring satisfaction, responsiveness, and quality delivery.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor engineers, designers, and technical staff with varied experience levels.

  • Lead project kickoff meetings, design reviews, and client check-ins.

  • Collaborate across disciplines and departments to ensure project success.

  • Assist with proposal development, cost estimates, and pursuit strategies for new work.

Operational Excellence

  • Prepare project work plans, schedules, and forecasting documentation.

  • Track performance metrics and proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Ensure quality control and adherence to company standards and QMS protocols.

  • Participate in internal business processes and weekly planning routines.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

  • Registered Professional Engineer in Texas

  • 8–10 years of experience in civil engineering design; at least 2 years in a project management role

  • Strong background in Urban Development projects preferred

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD , Civil 3D , and/or MicroStation

  • Skilled in ArcGIS , Microsoft Word , Excel , and Project

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision

  • Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills

  • Confident in leading client meetings, coordinating teams, and mentoring junior staff

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
