Responsibilities:
Work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed environment
Assume the role of animal facility manager
Maintain housing and husbandry, genotyping, regulatory and safety, and keep thorough record for animals
Develop breeding and genotyping protocols new strains of mice
Maintain and stock materials/reagents/products used in animal procedures
Perform basic animal handling procedures for pre-clinical experiments
Create reports for experimental results and communicate them to a transdisciplinary team
Job Experience:
B.S. or M.S.
1 year minimum of relevant experience required

Knowledge of mucosal immunity
Oral gavage, IP injections, euthanasia, Glucose tolerance test (GTT), blood collection
Expertise in ABSL2 and infection studies
Mouse handling, housing and husbandry, genotyping, management, SOP development, record keep skills
Experience implementing murine models of immune-mediated and infectious diseases
Organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with drug development process highly desired
Animal facility management highly desired
